The backside of the Loyola Community Service T-shirt featuring the corporal and spiritual works of mercy. The Loyola Community Service Program includes both for credit and not for credit activities. Over the course of four years, each Loyola student will complete at least 150 hours of direct service projects/relationships with persons who are not only needy, but poor, disenfranchised and marginalized. Service activities start in the freshman year with 15 hours of directed service on the Loyola campus, 25 yours minimum off campus during each of the sophomore and junior years and then the senior service immersion project for a minimum 85 hours conducted during the school day at various off campus sites each January. A list of prequalified sites may be found on the Loyola High School website under Community Service and Preferred Placements. Specific program questions may be directed to tzeko@loyolahs.edu
